For the IGNOU MBACN Project MMPNP-001, the submission process has two major stages: Synopsis Submission & Approval followed by Final Project Report Submission. 📝 Synopsis Submission & Approval
Before writing your complete project report, the project topic, research problem and proposed methodology should be presented through the synopsis/proposal and approved as required.
ODL (Distance) Students: Submit the project proposal to the Regional Director of your respective Regional Centre. Write “MMPP-001 Synopsis” prominently on the envelope. IGNOU's prospectus also provides the respective Regional Centre as the route for project proposal approval.
MBA Online Students: Submit the synopsis through the LMS Portal.
- Proforma for Approval of Project Proposal – completed and signed by the student and supervisor, with date.
- Detailed Synopsis / Project Proposal – including the introduction, objectives, methodology and other required research details.
- Guide Bio-data / Resume – duly signed by the project guide.
Indicative: around 30–45 days, although actual processing time can vary by Regional Centre and workload. Students should plan their project schedule with sufficient time for approval.

After receiving the written communication regarding synopsis approval, the project work may be undertaken. IGNOU's guideline specifies a final report of about 50–60 double-spaced typed pages, not exceeding approximately 18,000 words, excluding appendices and exhibits.
