MJMP-120 and MJMP-022 are the 6-credit project options; students should follow the option applicable to their programme structure.

MNMP-101 – Project Work (Electronic Media)

MNMP-101 is an 8-credit electronic media project. The official project guide gives students two options, and the student has to choose only one.

Option 1 – Audio / Audio-Visual Documentary

Students have to produce a 30–40 minute audio or audio-visual documentary. The project covers pre-production, production and post-production.

The documentary work includes a concept note, research activities, pre-shoot script, post-shoot script and final edited documentary. The concept note includes the title, logline, synopsis, reason for selecting the topic and target audience.

Option 2 – Internship

Students can instead complete an internship of at least 21 working days in a television channel, radio station or online platform dealing with audio or audio-visual production. The internship has to be arranged by the student.

The internship report requires an organisation profile, at least five photographs, 21 separate day-wise records and supporting evidence of the work completed.

MJMP-120 – Major Project Work (Dissertation)

MJMP-120 is the 6-credit Major Project Work (Dissertation).

It is a research-based project where students conduct systematic research on a selected topic related to journalism, electronic media, digital media, broadcasting or communication.

The dissertation involves important research stages such as:

Research Topic → Data Collection → Data Presentation → Analysis → Interpretation → Findings → Conclusion

The official handbook requires a research supervisor for MJMP-120.
